This is NO ordinary hair brush but it is ALSO a Hair dryer and its awesome – Revlon One Step Hair Dryer Brush Review

We’re always looking for new ways to style our hair more quickly, with less effort, less damage, and better results. It’s a tall order for hair appliances, when you think about it! However, convenience is the most important selling factor in this market, which is why, despite its high price, the Dyson Airwrap has remained so popular. But what if there was a more cheap appliance on the market, one that prioritized convenience? The Revlon One-Step Hair Dryer does double duty as a brush and a hair dryer. Of course, there are other ‘brush-dryers’ on the market that are built in a similar manner, but for some reason, people are going crazy for this type. That’s why I decided to try this tool out for myself and see what all the hype is about.

How it Works- Revlon One Step Hair Dryer Brush Review

The Revlon One-Step Hair Dryer dries and volumizes your hair in just one step. It’s essentially a giant barrel brush with a built-in hair dryer that styles your hair while also reducing frizz. It claims to provide “salon blow dries” in half the time and with 36% reduced hair breakage.

The oval shape of the barrel brush aids in the creation of defined curls, and there are two heat settings as well as a cooling setting to keep the style in place. It only dries towel-dried hair, not wet hair. This isn’t the first design of its kind, but it’s certainly popular.

First Impressions

When I initially saw the Revlon One-Step Hair Dryer, I had low expectations. It was sealed within a plastic bag that had been smashed so hard into the box that some of the bristles had bent out of shape. However, they appear to be practically realigned presently.

There are no extras included, like as a pouch or travel case, so you’ll have to purchase one separately, like the ProCase Hard Travel Case. Even the documentation was limited, with no diagrams to show how to follow the instructions. It’s also a big design, with dimensions of 13 x 4 x 3.5 inches. Considering it holds a hairdryer and weighs just over 1.5 pounds, it feels light. The chord is also quite long, measuring 8 feet.

The controls on the Revlon One-Step Hair Dryer are simple and easy to operate. It’s basically a dial that wraps around the base and rotates to modify the setting. Despite the fact that the setting icons are on the back of the gadget, which appears to be a little odd.

Performance | Revlon One-Step Hair Dryer Brush Review

I started by drying and styling my hair on the lower heat setting, as recommended by the Revlon One-Step Hair Dryer instructions for fine hair. I divided my hair into two layers with pins and started with the lowest layer on my left side. I brought the barrel up underneath my hair and spun it as I reached the end to curl it under, as directed, to produce a volumized finish.

My hair did dry slowly using the Revlon One-Step Hair Dryer, but I had to be patient — I had to go over my sections multiple times, but it was dry and nicely styled with a flick at the end. Because it has such a large barrel, it could hold a lot of my hair at once, so while it took a little longer to dry, I was able to cover a lot of ground with each brush. It didn’t matter whether I caught my hand on the brush because of the bristles; unless you manage to touch the ceramic layer underneath, there’s little risk of scalding.

Then I tried my right side, which was a little more difficult to style. Maybe it’s because I’m right-handed, but my hair wouldn’t cooperate on this side as well. It was still dry and straightened mostly with a flick, but it didn’t look as fantastic as the left. I was a little apprehensive about styling the back, but it turned out to be one of the simplest regions to style because it’s simply like brushing your hair from the bottom. In any event, it was more easier than using hair straighteners on the back.

My patience had worn thin by the time I reached the upper layer, so I used the Revlon One-Step Hair Dryer’s higher heat setting to speed up the process. My hair did feel hotter, indicating that this was causing more damage, but the weight of the device was beginning to bother my arm, so I needed to hurry up with the procedure. In terms of styling, I found the upper layer to be very similar to the lower, but the brush did appear to lend some volume to the whole, which looked fantastic. As a finishing touch, I ran the appliance over my hair as normal, smoothing out any remaining frizz.

Bottom line

BottomLine | Revlon One Step Hair Dryer Brush Review

I was done in 15 minutes, so the entire styling time was roughly three times longer than when I used my ordinary hair dryer. The Revlon One-Step Hair Dryer, on the other hand, gave me a far better overall look. When opposed to when I used my hair straighteners, the ends looked and felt considerably softer. My hair was volumized and had a really natural aspect; there was no frizz, and I was ready for a night out on the town.

Sure, it wasn’t as neat as it could have been because it was my first time using the Revlon One-Step Hair Dryer, but it was certainly better than what my hair straighteners could provide.

To say the least, I was blown away. My hair dryer and straighteners were essentially replaced with the Revlon One-Step Hair Dryer, which gave me a more natural look. True, it has flaws: it takes up a lot of area due to its bulky structure, and it takes time to attain these results. It does, however, deliver, and at a very affordable price. It’s no surprise that such a show is so popular.
